When trying to revise for a subject you don't like, you feel like EVERY little thing in your room is on a mission to distract you, for example today I was trying to revise for a physics exam and these were my distractions:
- A bird chirping outside- I taped up the edges of my window (-5 minutes)
- My desk had permanent marker on it- Got the Cif out (-5 minutes)
- I was hungry- Made some pasta (-15 minutes)
- I realised I didn't know where my phone was- went searching (-10 minutes)
- My bed wasn't made- Made it (- 2 minutes)
- Floor was cluttered- Tidied (-20 minutes)
- My carpet had crumbs on it- Did vaccuming (-10 minutes)
- Clothes that needed washing were on the floor- put them in the wash (-3 minutes)
The moral of the story is, tell a child to revise for a test and they'll spend an hour and 10 minutes tidying their room.
